My name is Loren Everly. I come from the Big Island of Hawai'i, specifically Ahualoa, which is near Honoka'a on the Hamakua coast. At the moment (June 2009) I'm a graduate student at Lund University in Sweden. You can find my C.V. here.
Of greatest interest to most visitors will be the travel and obsessions pages. You can find links to those two areas on the left side of the page. You may want to go there now.
This site is designed to be viewed on a screen that is 1024 by 768 pixels, this is the size at which things will look their best. "How was this site designed?" you may ask. Most of the HTML was done with notepad on a windows machine. It just suites me to work with HTML in this way. The photographs for the most part taken with a few different cameras. From 2002 until 2004 they are mostly from a Canon S100. Then 2005 and early 2006 with a Casio QV-2900UX. From April 2006 until the end of 2008 with a Fuji Finepix Z2. My current main camera is a Pentax Optio W60, but on the Middle East trip of Dec.-Jan. 08-09 I used my HTC Wizard mobile phone after breaking my camera. The older photographs were scanned, and some photos were taken by friends of mine with their cameras. These images where manipulated with XnView, and excellent free graphics program, and Adobe Photoshop.
On this site you will find the following things: Stories and pictures from around the world. Places I've been to and have something to say about. Also there are the obsessions, sometimes I fall into a subject and can't stop. I want to know everything about it. I enjoy my life and I hope you will take pleasure in this site.

I don't actually live in Hawai'i, and I haven't lived there in several years. But since I move on a not so irregular basis this is the best way to get a hold of me by physical post.
