I first went through Belgium via train in May 2005. I just stopped for a couple hours in Brussels, but I was very impressed. Brussels is a very beautiful city, along the lines of Paris or Rome. The buildings are large and interesting, there are nice green spaces. I would like to see the city again at a more leisurely pace. I also passed through Belgium in April 2006, but once again it was without really stopping. In August 2008 when I returned to Europe to live once again Brussels airport was my first stop. I was only there for a couple hours though. But in September I passed through once again while on a bus coming and going between Paris and Sweden.
