I've been to Canada several times. The first time was a road trip with family in 1992. Then another road trip in 2000. In 2001 I hitchiked from Fairbanks to Liard Hot Springs in B.C. in March. This was quite stupid but it worked out well. Liard was quite amazing. Then I moved to Canada in Dec. 2001 and lived there until May 2002. I was studying at McGill University in Montreal. It was a nice place to live. It is one of the greatest cities I've lived in. I lived downtown right next to the university. Food, nightlife, entertainment were all excellent. I could definately live in Montréal again. Then I passed through Canada on the way to South Africa in July 2002.
