Ok ok Christiania. Isn’t a country, less so than the Faroe Islands or Aland. I’m really cheating a bit by putting a Christiania section on the site. Maybe I will move it to the Denmark page. It is a bit different though, and the people who live there like to think of it as separate. It even has it’s own coins. Although they are mostly for tourists. When I first came to Christiania I thought it was a dump. But it is quite nice towards the back. It is a community that took over an abandoned military base in Copenhagen in the 1970s and set up outside the law in several ways. The Danish state is threatening to take it over though. The land is now worth a lot of money. I came to this enclave in April 2005. And came again in December 2009.
