Ok why elements you might ask? Well elements are amazing. To think of all that is made from so little. The ways things can combine chemically to create something completely new. And even in alloys, the simple mixing of elements and the properties that can form in the combined material. Oh I could have gotten into this long before I did. I was into the periodic table while a teenager. But I didn't have any idea where to get element samples. Now I know where to get them but I can't really afford it. So this section is small and unlikely to grow much for a while. Of course I would love to provide a good home to any elements that are unwanted. I can trace the current interest pretty well. I was reading the "Lord of the Rings" books in March 2004, and I was thinking of what material the ring could be made of. So that got me researching the properties of elements and dreaming of having them. And its grown from there.
My tungsten cylinder is used for size comparison with many of my other material possessions. It is 13mm(0.5”) long and 13mm(0.5”) in diameter.
