I was in Nepal in June 2007. Nepal is a comfortable country. People are less pushy than India. The food is excellent. It is quiet and relaxed. Kathmandu is a good retreat from the rest of South Asia. It is a real South Asian city, with the biggest Western, backpacker enclave I've seen in Asia. Sometimes I want to escape from these places, and sometimes they are a haven. Pokhara has one of the most beautiful lakes I've seen.
