Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens,
bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens,
brown paper packages tied up with strings,
these are a few of my favorite things.

Cream colored ponies and crisp apple strudels,
door bells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles.
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings.
These are a few of my favorite things.

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes,
snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes,
silver white winters that melt into springs,
these are a few of my favorite things.

When the dog bites, when the bee stings,
when I'm feeling sad,
I simply remember my favorite things,
and then I don't feel so bad.

-Sound of Music

I am quite a materialist, and sometimes I get into a particular track and get quite obsessed. Below you will find some of my sweet obsessions that have come and sometimes gone, although never entirely. Periodically I try and get rid of some of my things, they have the tendency to weigh me down now and then. I like to travel and that means a minimum of weight. Then with a pile of things waiting at home I worry about their security, and I sometimes want to see my things and go through them again. So now and then I will liquidate my holdings. I´ve gotten rid of most of my books, and all the old computers. Sometimes I miss particular ones. I was tempted to make even more categories, but there are already quite a few. For example I quite like mass transit systems, especially undergrounds. I have several pictures of these from around the world. To find these go to the travel section. I may put a separate section for them here sometime though. As always let me know any suggestions.
