I first passed through here on a night bus. It seemed nice enough in the dark. The border control people were nice. This was on my way to and from Budapest in Jan. and Feb. 2004. In April 2005 I passed through by train and saw it in daylight. I only stopped briefly in Bratislava. Overall it seems similar to its neighbours. In January 2010 I came back to Bratislava for a couple days and really liked it. It's small and quiet compared to Vienna, Prague and Budapest but still very charming. The people are more friendly and it feels very comfortable.
