Syria was a place that I thought would be a bit mysterious. Once I got there it didn't feel strange at all. This is the story for me in so many travels. I really like Syria though. It has the best falafel in the world and I'm a huge fan of falafel. The people are really nice and the country feels so rich with history. When I came in December 2008 it was cold though. Cold and grey. I'd like to come and spend more time in Syria when the weather is warmer and the countryside is green. The people are really nice and even the secret police helped me to catch a ride.
